Industry applications

Characteristics of Rotary Screen Printing
Consistent pattern orientation:The running direction of the rotary screen aligns with the warp direction of the fabric, making this technology particularly suitable for patterns arranged along the warp.
Mesh aperture features:Rotary screens are made of nickel metal with relatively large mesh openings. As a result, printed lines on fabrics tend to be thicker, and color bleeding may occur on delicate fine patterns.
Accordingly, rotary screen printing works better for bold, graphic patterns, and is not recommended for intricate designs such as thin lines, speckles and cloud patterns.
Standard pattern repeat dimensions:The cylindrical rotary screen rolls continuously to repeat patterns on fabrics, so pattern repeats must adopt standard sizes including 640 mm, 914 mm and 1018 mm.
Compatible with pile fabrics:It is the optimal choice for fabrics requiring raising treatment, such as coral fleece and polar fleece. Fine lines would blur after raising, while rotary printing machine can clearly reproduce bold patterns and contour lines.
Applicable Dyes
Disperse dyes
Applicable fibers: Hydrophobic synthetic fibers including polyester, polyester-cotton blends and triacetate fiber.
Pigment dyes
Applicable fibers: Cotton, linen, silk, wool, polyester and blended fabrics; boasts the broadest versatility.
Reactive dyes
Applicable fibers: Cellulosic fibers like cotton, linen and viscose; also applied in small quantities to silk and wool.
Acid dyes
Applicable fibers: Protein fibers and polyamide fibers such as wool, real silk and polyamide (nylon).
