Which Fabrics Are Suitable for Acid Dyes?
Acid dyes chemically react with protein fibers and certain synthetic fibers in an acidic environment, forming strong bonds. Suitable fabrics mainly include:

Adjustable tension, spreading, and feeding system: Digital textile Printer features active spreading rollers with tension that can be set in segments according to fabric type. The spreading rollers also effectively flatten curled edges and weft skew, ensuring the greige fabric enters the printing area flat and straight.
Movable pressure roller: The infeed pressure roller can move axially under pneumatic control, allowing flexible adjustment of the pressing edge position according to different fabric widths. It applies adjustable pressure (0–6 bar) to effectively remove air bubbles from the fabric surface and prevent arching.
●Magnetic Rod Water Removal System
To keep the belt dry and protect the printheads, DGE Digital Printing Machine has uniquely developed a magnetic rod water removal system. On the return path of the belt, a set of high-precision magnetic adsorption rollers is installed. The magnetic rods fit tightly against the belt.
The surface of the magnetic rods is covered with a microfibre water-absorbent layer that efficiently absorbs residual condensate, slurry moisture, and low-concentration ink mixture from the belt and directs them into a collection trough.
Advantages of Ricoh / Seiko Printheads
Ricoh printheads feature an all-steel construction with a single print width of 25.4 mm. Their strong corrosion resistance enables 24-hour continuous production, with an average service life of 3–5 years – double that of similar printheads. The Ricoh G6 series further enhances nozzle plate wear resistance and offers broad ink compatibility.
Seiko printheads are also well known for their strong corrosion resistance and high stability, making them mature and reliable for acid dye printing. Both printhead types are fully compatible with acid dyes, with no risk of corrosion.
